Otso is a legal unit of Pravin Papers Private Limited. Otso, like the bear it’s named after, represents our Nordic culture. Our company is the marriage of two polar opposite cultures, Finnish and Indian. These cultures have come together in our kitchen to create a beautiful matrimony of the Indian love for spice and the Finnish love for fresh and clean food. The word we want our customers to think about when they think of us is ‘hearty.’ Whatever the word would mean to each of us can be different. Either you eat our food because you want something wholesome and healthy or because you want comfort food. Otso is rustic yet modern and we believe in using only fresh and good quality ingredients for our dishes. We don’t believe in using any preservatives or premixes and that in itself sets us far apart from the competition. Otso has been created by a love smitten couple from Finland and India, who decided to marry the cultures into a scrumptious menu. Missing Finnish foods definitely played a big part in making the menu. However, as Nordic food is still quite unknown to the Indian public, we could say that Otso is more Nordic inspired than purely Nordic. However, we do have a special authentic Nordic menu that can be curated on request. Being a family business, Otso uses its greatest asset, an Indian mother who loves to bake and cook and has been baking professionally for 35 years, to elevate our menu. It’s her strong belief in only using fresh ingredients that helped us to stick to this during our beginnings. This in-house expertise had a huge impact in keeping true to our values and ideas. Our mission is to give our customers an experience they’ve never had before; to taste a completely different culture while still staying true to the local culture as well. The Otso base kitchen in Gurgaon houses three brands under its roof: The Otso Deli, The Otso Bakehouse & Otso Catering. Each one of these brands complements the other and you can expect the same premium quality across all three brands. This sets our high tea catering apart as you can choose a combination from all the three brands. We want our clients to always find what they’re looking for when they come to us. Our vision for the future is to have Otso outlets all across India, so that foreigners and locals alike can experience the true essence of pure and clean Nordic food wherever they may be in India.
